Ab ovo
Ab ovo... "Ab ovo usque ad mala". Which the phrase literally translates as "from the egg to the apples," and it was conceived by the poet Horace; making an allusion to the Roman tradition of starting a meal with eggs and finishing it with apples. Horace also applied his ab ovo reference when talking about the Trojan War that begins with the mythical egg of Leda from which Helen (whose beauty ignited the war) was born. Horace used ab ovo in its literal sense, "from the egg", and that is the case with this blog. My name is Alberto and I welcome you to my blog.
